Under a spell

"I'm under that spell again," I thought as I gazed into her eyes, trying to see past that which is tangible and into that which is unspeakable by any tongue. The eyes tell everything. I wondered what it would be like sitting hand in hand with her there by my side, and it wasn't long before my thoughts were taken from stage to screen. An immeasurable amount of comfort flowed from her hand and into my palm as we became one. At that moment, time froze, but the movie continued to play-- I was no longer an audience member, but a heart on display. The credits flew from the bottom of the screen but we remained in our seats as we witnessed the others in their rush to exit the building, as if it were on fire. My reason for remaining seated? Simple: the sooner we stood up, the sooner we'd have to say goodnight. Upon exiting the theater, I walked her to her car, and although I was in no hurry to watch her drive away, I held her close and thought about never letting go-- but I knew I had to. A swift peck on the lips, and I was suddenly watching her taillights fade.
Being so far from her seemed like days, but was merely a pile of hours. Counting down the days between our rendezvous was always something to bring smiles to our faces, but actually seeing each other again was always so much more satisfying. It wasn't long until I found myself drowning in her gorgeous eyes yet again, being kept alive by the way her presence made my heart pound-- a desperate cry that can only be interpreted as the heart itself calling her name with passion. Lightly dragging the back of my fingers along the side of her face and then tucking her hair behind her ear, I held her close to me as if I were protecting her through the night. "That's all I want to do… protect her through the night… every night," I thought. We were safe then, and I'm ready and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and smiling. Whatever it takes. "I'm under that spell again," I thought again, only this time I know deep down that it is so much more; but only if it makes her happy, only then could it actually be so much more… only if it makes her happy.

Imagination, Take Me Away

Imagination, Take Me Away

When I close my eyes, you appear to me
It's no big surprise 'cause it works every time.

Pass into
a state of dreaming, but it feels so real
that even you begin feeling
The things my imagination does
to keep me breathing
While you're away from me
and my mind is swimming in the darkness of my tightly closed eyes.

And when I open my eyes, you appear again
Only this time you are held between my arms and my hands

As we Pass into
a state of dreaming, but our eyes are open
and we know we're feeling
The things our imaginations do
to keep us breathing
While you're here with me
and our minds are swimming in the darkness of our lightly closed eyes.

Verse.
Chorus.

Had to type it out.

Funny, inappropriate, and possibly informative.. so I posted it.

40 places men go wrong during sex

1) NOT KISSING FIRST.
Avoiding her lips and diving straight for the erogenous zones makes her
feel like you're paying by the hour and trying to get your money's worth by
cutting out nonessentials. A proper passionate kiss is the ultimate form of
foreplay.

2) BLOWING TOO HARD IN HER EAR.
Admit it, some kid at school told you girls love this. Well, there's a
difference between being erotic and blowing as if you're trying to extinguish
the candles on your 50th birthday cake. That hurts.

3) NOT SHAVING.
You often forget you have a porcupine strapped to your chin which you rake
repeatedly across your partner's face and thighs. When she turns her head
from side to side, it's not passion, it's avoidance.

4) SQUEEZING HER BREAST.
Most men act like a housewife testing a melon for ripeness when they get
their hand on a pair. Stroke, caress, and smooth them.

5) BITING HER NIPPLES.
Why do men fasten onto a woman's nipples, then clamp down like they're
trying to deflate her body via her breasts? Nipples are highly sensitive.
They can't stand up to chewing. Lick and suck them gently. Flicking your
tongue across them is good. Pretending they're a dogie toy isn't.

6) TWIDDLING HER NIPPLES.
Stop doing that thing where you twiddle the nipples between finger and
thumb like you're trying to find a radio station in a hilly area. Focus on
the whole breasts, not just the exclamation points.

7) IGNORING THE OTHER PARTS OF HER BODY.
A woman is not a highway with just three turnoffs: Breastville East and
West, and the Midtown Tunnel. There are vast areas of her body which you've
ignored far too often as you go bombing straight into downtown Vagina. So
start paying them some attention.

8) GETTING THE HAND TRAPPED.
Poor manual dexterity in the underskirt region can result in tangled
fingers and underpants. If you're going to be that aggressive, just ask her
to take the damn things off.

9) LEAVING HER A LITTLE PRESENT.
Condom disposal is the man's responsibility. You wore it, you store it.

10) ATTACKING THE CLITORIS.
Direct pressure is very unpleasant, so gently rotate your fingers along
side of the clitoris.

11) STOPPING FOR A BREAK.
Women, unlike men, don't pick up where they left off. If you stop, they
plummet back to square one very fast. If you can tell she's not there, keep
going at all costs, numb jaw or not.

12) UNDRESSING HER AWKWARDLY.
Women hate looking stupid, but stupid she will look when naked at the
waist with a sweater stuck over her head. Unwrap her like an elegant present,
not a kid's toy.

13) GIVING HER A WEDGIE DURING FOREPLAY.
Stroking her gently through her panties can be very sexy. Pulling the
material up between her thighs and yanking it back and forth is not.

14) BEING OBSESSED WITH THE VAGINA.
Although most men can find the clitoris without maps, they still believe
that the vagina is where it's all at. No sooner is your hand down there than
you're trying to stuff stolen banknotes up a chimney. This is okay in
principle, but if you're not careful, it can hurt - so don't get carried
away. It's best to pay more attention to her clitoris and the exterior of her
vagina at first, then gently slip a finger inside her and see if she likes
it.

15) MASSAGING TOO ROUGHLY.
You're attempting to give her a sensual, relaxing massage to get her in
the mood. Hands and fingertips are okay; elbows and knees are not.

16) UNDRESSING PREMATURELY.
Don't force the issue by stripping before she's at least made some move
toward getting your stuff off, even if it's just undoing a couple of buttons.

17) TAKING YOUR PANTS OFF FIRST.
A man in socks and underpants is a at his worst. Lose the socks fist.

18) GOING TOO FAST.
When you get to the penis-in-vagina situation, the worst thing you can do
is pump away like an industrial power tool - she'll soon feel like an
assembly-line worker made obsolete by your technology. Build up slowly, with
clean, straight, regular thrusts.

19) GOING TOO HARD.
If you bash your great triangular hip bones into her thigh or stomach, the
pain is equal to two weeks of horseback riding concentrated into a few
seconds.

20) COMING TOO SOON.
Every man's fear. With reason. If you shoot before you see the whites of
her eyes, make sure you have a backup plan to ensure her pleasure too.

21) NOT COMING SOON ENOUGH.
It may appear to you that humping for an hour without climaxing is the
mark of a sex god, but to her it's more likely the mark of a numb vagina. At
least buy some intriguing wall hangings, so she has something to hold her
interest while you're playing Marathon Man.

*******22) ASKING IF SHE HAS COME.
You really ought to be able to tell. Most women make noise. But if you
really don't know, don't ask

23) PERFORMING ORAL SEX TOO GENTLY.
Don't act like a giant cat at a saucer of milk. Get your whole mouth down
there, and concentrate on gently rotating or flicking your tongue on her
clitoris.

24) NUDGING HER HEAD DOWN.
Men persist in doing this until she's eyeball-to-penis, hoping that it
will lead very swiftly to mouth-to-penis. All women hate this. It's about
three steps from being dragged to a cave by their hair. If you want her to
use her mouth, use yours; try talking seductively to her.

25) NOT WARNING HER BEFORE YOU CLIMAX.
Sperm tastes like sea water mixed with egg white. Not everybody likes it.
When she's performing oral sex, warn her before you come so she can do what's
necessary.

26) MOVING AROUND DURING FELLATIO.
Don't thrust. She'll do all the moving during fellatio. You just lie
there. And don't grab her head.

27) TAKING ETIQUETTE ADVICE FROM PORN MOVIES.
In X-rated movies, women seem to love it when men ejaculate over them. In
real life, it just means more laundry to do.

28) MAKING HER RIDE ON TOP FOR AGES.
Asking her to be on top is fine. Lying there grunting while she does all
the hard work is not. Caress her gently, so that she doesn't feel quite so
much like the captain of a schooner. And let her have a rest.

29) ATTEMPTING ANAL SEX AND PRETENDING IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.
This is how men earn a reputation for not being able to follow directions.
If you want to put it there, ask her first. And don't think that being drunk
is an excuse.

30) TAKING PICTURES.
When a man says, "Can I take a photo of you?" she'll hear the words "__to
show my buddies." At least let her have custody of them.

31) NOT BEING IMAGINATIVE ENOUGH.
Imagination is anything from drawing patterns on her back to pouring honey
on her and licking it off. Fruit, vegetables, ice and feathers are all handy
props; hot candle wax and permanent dye are a no no.

32) SLAPPING YOUR STOMACH AGAINST HERS.
There is no less erotic noise. It's as sexy as a belching contest.

33) ARRANGING HER IN STUPID POSES.
If she wants to do advanced yoga in bed, fine, but unless she's a Romanian
gymnast, don't get too ambitious. Ask yourself if you want a sexual partner
with snapped hamstrings.

34) LOOKING FOR HER PROSTATE.
Read this carefully: Anal stimulation feels good for men because they have
a prostate. Women don't.

35) GIVING LOVE BITES.
It is highly erotic to exert some gentle suction on the sides of the neck,
if you do it carefully. No woman wants to have to wear turtlenecks and jaunty
scarves for weeks on end.

36) BARKING INSTRUCTIONS.
Don't shout encouragement like a coach with a megaphone. It's not a big
turn-on.

37) TALKING DIRTY.
It makes you sound like a lonely magazine editor calling a 1-900 line. If
she likes nasty talk, she'll let you know

38) NOT CARING WHETHER SHE COMES.
You have to finish the job. Keep on trying until you get it right, and she
might even do the same for you.

39) SQUASHING HER.
Men generally weigh more than women, so if you lie on her a bit too
heavily, she will turn blue.

40) THANKING HER.
Never thank a woman for having sex with you. Your bedroom is not a soup
kitchen.

Anyone care to establish some validity in this? lol

I think I'm falling.....

So I've totally fallin for this Girl named Katie Holt... some of you may know her, but it's somewhat unlikely. I hung out with her quite a bit this weekend, and deffinitely has to rank up at the top of the "best weekend I ever had" list. Hopefully there will be more to come.... I think about her all the time.... She's got a great smile and a wonderful personality...

But that's enough.... I'll stop with the mushy stuff.

I found some funnny stuff....

I found a few images of some X-Rated movies from the 60s and early 70s... this one is by far my favorite:

SO ADULT IT SMARTS! haha.

There's quite a bit more here... they're funny... check them out yo.

I guess he doesn't get free pepsi.

I can almost see the middle of the line, anyone wanna cut and have some company?... I sure hope the park doesn't close anytime soon lol.
I had someone in mind when I thought of posting this, but I'll let you ponder that- it's probably obvious to some of you.

And then there's this:

Knowing how people work now-a-days... this is probably true.

If you have any funny pictures, feel free to post them I've got a server to save them all on. =] and I'm bored.

I haven't updated in forever, I know. I have a birthday coming up on the 18th.. the big one-nine...? What's exciting about 19? I don't even remember my 18th b-day.. looks like this year will prove to be some sort of pattern in my life.

I like college.
I hate going to college... there's too many pretty faces that I'll never be able to put a name to... aka- who knew college girls would make you feel so bad about yourself because you know you could never have them? lol.

My life = boring, dull, monotonous.
Never thought I'd be the deffinition of "Dead man walking."

The end.

America's Favorite Heroes

Who are they? Well.. who else? The soldiers in Iraq. Unfortunately, I now believe that's where most of them should stay.

And I have every reason to believe that now:
US soldiers trade grisly photos of dead and mutilated Iraqis for access to amateur porn. The press is strangely silent.

"Hey dude, forget about the war... you got a camera?"

It's very likely that this story will never make it to prime time television because it would make the soldiers look bad, which is almost every bit of leverage the bitter Americans have against President Bush. If it were brought to everyone's attention (which I think it should be) then we'd have another Viet Nam on our hands with respect to how soldiers might be treated upon returning. But I don't care. They have managed to completely disgust me with this.

Enjoy yourself fellas.

So yeah, I saw Coldplay live

ACL was AMAZING. Last year I was only able to make it to one day, but this year I went to all 3. Sure, I learned my lesson from last year and wore sunscreen, but my scalp still got a nice beating. And you know what, I don't care. haha.

Day One- Friday: Missed Spoon and Mates of State, but we heard that Mates of State was a disappointment because they didn't do too well. Our goal was only to get there and have Charles and Laken exchange their 3 single-day tickets for a 3-day wristband. We reached that goal and managed to walk in during the performance of Keane on the AMD stage. I will deffinitely be listening to them more, because they were really good. Heard a little Lyle Lovett, but we weren't actually watching them. Then The Black Crows were on the SBC stage... not really my type of music, but they were good- I'll give them that.

Day Two- Saturday: The day started off with a little disappointment because Tegan and Sara were no longer featured due to the hurricane. I've never really listened to them, so it wasn't a huge loss for me. They were supposed to be on the AMD stage, not sure who replaced them. We arrived in time for Aqualung on the AMD stage at 1:30. Aqualung... totally great. You need to check them out. Then it was over to the Cingular stage for Built to Spill... they were ok. I don't know, it sounded kinda... raw to me. Then we walked back to the AMD stage for The Frames. They were good... I'm not sure how to describe them though, so I guess you'll just have to check them out. We left the AMD stage a little early so we could get a nice spot at the Cingular stage for Death Cab for Cutie. In all honesty, I was not feeling the Death Cab vibe... Their performance was ok, but their set was not it's best. They played plenty of new things, and a few older, but I'm sure that everyone would have loved to hear more Transatlanticism and Photo. After that, Ritchie went to go check out The Walkmen on the Heineken stage while Charles and I took a trip to McDonnald's to get out of the heat and grab a bite that didn't cost an arm and a leg. We missed Jet.. but I'm not familiar with them really so I'll just check them out later to see what I missed. We made it back for Bloc Party on the AMD stage. They were excellent. It's great to hear an awesome dance band who interacts with the audience. They finished at 8:15 and Oasis started to play... we didn't leave Bloc Party to go get a good look at Oasis... I wonder why. I guess if I were in 7th grade still I'd have been up front. We did stick around to hear Wonderwall though. Of course.

Day Three- Sunday: First band we saw at noon on the AMD stage was Ambulance LTD. GORGEOUS. His voice is spectacular and their music is totally wonderful. After them, at 12:45 we went to watch Eisley on the Cingular stage. They were good, and ultra cute =). By the time they were done, the heat was already killing us... so Charles and I headed over to McDonnald's to chill and eat and we took Ritchie's wrist band with us and met with Erica Brokaw and got her in for free. We love Erica. Erica loves us. We made it back to see The Bravery on the AMD stage. They were good, but I think the Killers would have been better... they're more catchy. Then at 4:30 we walked to the Cingular stage and watched The Arcade Fire... and words really wouldn't do them any justice here. It was a split decision between them and Jason Mraz on the SBC stage. And Considering I don't know who Jason Mraz is, I'd have to say that Ritchie, Erica, and I made the best choice. Then we went back over to the AMD stage to watch The Decemberists. I fell in love with The Decemberists. I knew I liked them already, but they're REALLY good live and now I shall go and buy their CD, unless someone wants to burn me one =). Then we went to the SBC stage at 6:30 for Franz Ferdinand and made sure that we got as close as possible because Coldplay was the following band on that stage. Franz Ferdinand did a wonderful job. They had a very retro feel from the round drum riser to the black&white effect that was used on the big screen. After Franz played, The Black Keys played on the Heineken stage, but we didn't move from where we were... no way. I kinda wanted to see them though. Oh well, the sacrifice was worth it- you'll have to take my word...
And then... 8:30 rolled around, slowly but surely. Can you say Coldplay?
Coldplay deffinitely deserves to be band of the year.
Their performance - amazing.
Their lyrics - beautiful.
Their music - gorgeous.
The overall effect they had on the crowd was phenominal... I'm being 100% serious when I say that I almost shed tears because their performance was beyond beautiful. They incorporated the other bands into some songs as well as ACL and South by South West, making the experience that much more exciting. If you had a chance to se them and you didn't.. for any reason... You're an idiot. Plain and simple. It will be pretty freaking tough for me to see a show that beats Coldplay. If there is ever a performance more beautiful and amazing, it should be a sin because I'd probably die.

Hope you enjoyed MY experience at ACL. You should try it sometime.

Take it easy. You can cry now.

My brother is in a competition, and first place wins a free 10 track CD recording in a studio with backup artists... and it would mean the world to me if you would go and vote for him. Please, seriously, you have no idea. And hey, when he makes it big, you can say "I voted for that guy!" =) He's the only person in the top 5 that deserves to win this, because he's the only person performing his own original songs. The otehr people are doing some country cover songs and who wants to hear a 10-track CD of songs that other people wrote?? VOTE!

Please click here to go and vote. Make sure you cast your vote for Andy Killingsworth

Click here to go to his myspace and hear his stuff.

It won't take long, so please sacrifice about a minute to go and vote.
Thank you all so much!

-Patrick-

Please click here and vote for Andy Killingsworth! This is his chance to get his CD. He's the only person singing original music and if he doesn't win it only means someone with less talent will win and get to make a CD with music everyone else has heard before. PLEASE PLEASE Vote for him and vote as many times it will let you (just refresh the page a lot after you vote and it adds votes)... I get the impression the others in the lead are cheating this way... but it won't matter if he can just stay up there with them!

PLEASE VOTE!!! Anyone who has heard him knows he deserves this more than anything! www.myspace.com/killingsworthmusic if you want to hear him.

Thanks so much,
Patrick

I'd like to personally thank you for vandalizing The Symphony building. It looks great! Not. Grow up. Get a spiral to draw in, and leave the wall alone... I wouldn't even be mad if I hadn't told you guys to STAY AWAY FROM THE COLORED PORTIONS OF THE WALL... but the gay LOLIFE's ignored it. Furthermore, if I find out who's responsible for what before you admit to it(which I already know but might as well be a little nice and give you a chance), and if you're not going to help out with fixing the problem, then you might want to get used to MTV because that's as live as it's going to get for ya for a while.

Mr. Charley, you get to clean the window.

Peace,
Patrick

The Mortal Treason show has been moved to The Longhorn... Please come and please bring your friends. I'm having to pay $350 to rent it, and I really can't afford it as a donation, so that money is needed to go back into my pocket. Ohh... the things I do for the love of music in this town.

If you act like an idiot at this concert and break something that doesn't belong to us, or paint on ANYTHING WHATSOEVER, you will be held responsible for it. Sorry, that's how it has to work in this situation... as much as I would love to pay for your damages out of my own pocket the way it's been going, I can't.

Come help support live music and hopefully we can make some progress towards getting into this new building.

See you at the show, which is on the 18th and the doors open at 7, and it's $6.

Patrick

Been waiting for an update?

I know.. it's been a while... and well.. these recent events deffinitely deserve an update of their own. (I stole some of this from Charlie Hearne)

The drive to San Antonio seemed to last about half an hour. We wanted food. An Olive Garden was found. That's enough to make any day exceptional. We the proceeded to get gas and head to the SBC Center. We were driving around the area by the SBC Center (which is NOT a good neighborhood...pretty much ghettoville San Antonio), and on one street corner there was a trash can. There was a black guy shoulders deep. I'm sure he was looking for a snack, maybe a new pair of pants, or possibly his child.

So onward to thet SBC Center where we waited 2 hours just for the doors to open. The plot to get to the barricade was a success. All the people around us at that particular time seemed pretty cool, which is good considering how well you get to know people around you at concerts. The person next to Charlie on his right (an older woman, probably in her thirties) was an absolute genious. I glanced down and noticed she was wearing flip-flops. Seriously, how dumb do you have to be?

After an hour of waiting inside Bad Acid Trip played. They were horrible. Imagine the worst live performance you've ever seen and make it is at least 3x's as bad plus some additional props including a dildo which was completely not neccessary...and that's Bad Acid Trip. There was a high point though. This kid, probably 16 or 17 pushees his way up to the front and is being really obnoxious. He's very obviously drunk as hell. He's pissing off everybody up front and the security guards finally notices him. One grabs him and slams him against the barricade. "FUCK YEAAAHH!!!" That's how sober he was. He was excited about being physically injured and getting kicked out. About 10 minutes after they had hoisted him over and escorted him away one of the guards that went with him came back. "We called his mom she's on his way to come pick him up. He was here with his g/f but she's not leaving." Hahaha he must feel like a real winner today.

Then it was time for THE MARS VOLTA. I've never seen so much equiptment on a stage before for one band.... wow. He had like 6 Marshall Orange Crunch's... and while many of you don't know what that means, I do. They played their new stuff for about an hour and a half.. and more drunks and stoners were starting to piss me off... mainly because the guards saw them and didn't care.... but they cared when I took a picture- obviously they had some misguided priorities. I love how Cedric and Omar dance on stage... it's soo crazy. The things he does with that mic are just insaine.

Then System of a Down played.... they did really well too. I'm not a big fan, but if I had an opportunity to see them again, I probably would. Once they hit the stage, I realized that the pit now included me... and it was a scarry reality to suddenly witness. I remember being there for about 4 songs... gettinga taste of the pit, seeing an elbow of some drunk guy, and then seeeing the security guards pointing me to the back and I'm now on the opposite side of the barracade. I guess it hurt? I really can't remember. All I know is that when they pulled me out, I lost my shoe, and that floor was NASTY! but I got it back after the show... someone threw it on the stage, so my shoe has shared the stage with System of a Down. w00t! Durring the last song, maybe second to last... but pretty sure it was the last, some guy got the idea to run up on stage... and well, he was quickly tackled by 2 very large men, and then SoaD's singer and lead guitarist both turned around and began kicking the man while he was down. It was pretty amazing to watch.... very funny.

Last night, DJ Sona and our locals: Danimal, Neffy?, and Carlos spun it up at the Symphony. Sona is such a great guy. Everyone needs to support him and add him on myspace. I felt horrible sending him away with only like $70, considering he flew down here and back from Dallas... but he said he had fun and that's all that mattered to him... Looks like you missed out if you didn't go.

WE NEED YOUR HELP GUYS!!! THE SYMPHONY IS MOVING!

Hey guys.. due to all the things the city wants us to do to our current building, We're going to be moving. Many of you are familiar with the old Planet X building... and well, that's soon to be The Symphony.

The only problem we're facing is that they require a $5,000 down payment. We can gather up about $2,000... but in order to make this happen we're going to need the help of all the music lovers we can get. I've set up a paypal account that is strictly for receiving donations. If you are an awesome person, please donate to us and help us keep the scene alive in San Angelo. your good doing will not go unrewarded... but understand that at the moment we're not able to reward you.

ALL donations are appreciated, no matter what size. Just make sure I know who you are so I can keep track of who's helped out, and who needs to be rewarded.

Make donations to: paypal@24symphonies.com

All help is greatly appreciated,
Patrick Killingsworth
